Gov. Martin O'Malley isn't saying whether he will call a special session to try to make up for the failure of a proposed budget compromise in the waning hours of the Maryland General Assembly.
O'Malley appeared at an uneasy bill signing ceremony on Tuesday with Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller and House Speaker Michael Busch, just hours after a deal to avoid more than $500 million in cuts collapsed.
O'Malley described the budget outcome as "pretty much the low point of my experience here." He described it as "really a damn shame."

oh what a shame for omalley, maybe the first cuts out to be his salary. since he don't do anything but raise taxs!
Good job Miller and Busch...keep it up. Maybe O'malley will get the point...we've had enough!
My guess is the only reason it didn't pass is too many of them are facing an election this year. So come November after all the idiots in Maryland re-elect the dummiecrats we will be paying much higher taxes.
O'Malley is a spoiled brat like Obama.
O'Malley's terms as governor can accurately be described as: Pretty much the low points of my experience as a Maryland resident.
Pretty soon he'll be done but I'll/we'll be saddled with his sorry legacy for a very long time.

Your guess is wrong. If you knew anything about politics you would know that all the state legislature seats were up for election during the next Gubernatorial cycle in 2014.
A good thing that came out of this session is considered a damn shame by the governor.Wow.
