2012 Election: Obama Re-Election Team says Killing of Bin Laden Shows Deciciveness

The official White House photograph--taken as the raid on the Bin Laden compound was unfolding--showed President Obama, and senior staffers, riveted by a live video from Pakistan.

Shortly afterward, the president said he didn't want to 'spike the football' over Bin Laden's killing.

But now, just days from the anniversary of the al-Qaeda founder's death, the president's re-election team is reminding Americans who ordered the raid.

"Osama Bin Laden no longer walks on this planet because of that brave decision," says Robert Gibbs, the president's senior campaign advisor.

If Osama Bin Laden is dead then why won't the courts release the pictures.

I have lost no sleep over bin Laden's death, but what happened to not spiking the football?
