ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Senate -- Maryland state Senators passed the governor's same sex marriage bill by a 25-22 vote Thursday evening.
There were 24 Democrats and 1 Republican who voted in favor, and 11 Democrats and 11 Republicans who voted against. No senators abstained, and none were absent. A majority of 24 votes was needed to pass the measure.The following is a tally of senators' votes as released by the president's office.
