Incident: Violation of Protective Order
Date of Incident: 19 January 2012
Location: Bethel Road Willards, MD
Suspect: Jeremiah M. Moore, 30, Willards, MD

Narrative: On 19 January 2012
, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival an investigation revealed that the suspect, Jeremiah Moore, was in violation of a protective order issued by the District Court. Moore was placed under arrest.

The deputy transported Moore to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner released Moore on personal recognizance.

Does anyone else see a problem with this? He breaks the law and they just let him back out again. They could have at least fined him or something. What is the use in someone spending the time and money to get a protective order if the law is not going to enforce it.

Agreed! WTF? The jail must be full, but at least make some sort of penalty. He'll just walk back and do it again, only this time with more anger?????
