Resume:
Bridgeville, DE- The Delaware State Police are currently searching for a Seaford, DE man after he entered a Bridgeville area home and assaulted two occupants inside before fleeing this morning.
The investigation into the incident began at approximately 7:20 a.m. this morning after Troopers responded to a home located in the 4900 block of Seashore Highway, in Bridgeville for the report of a domestic related incident. Upon their arrival, Troopers were contacted by a 25 year old female resident of the home who advised them that beginning on Saturday, January 21, she had received a total of 26 calls and text messages from her ex-boyfriend, identified as Thomarius C. Adkins, 22, of Seaford. The female victim advised that she did not answer the phone calls or respond to the text.
The victim then advised that at approximately 7:15 a.m. this morning, she looked out of a window of her home and observed Adkins staring at her from outside. The victim then told Adkins to leave and that she was calling 9-1-1. Adkins ran away from the window, however, he then began banging on other windows of the home. Adkins, who was armed with a handgun, then entered the home by forcing open and climbing through a bedroom window. The female victim then began to scream which awoke a 27 year old male who had been asleep in the bedroom that Adkins had entered. The male subject then attempted to wrestle the gun away from Adkins, however, he was unsuccessful. He was then threatened and assaulted by Adkins. The male victim then fled from the house and responded to a neighbor’s home where he called 9-1-1.
Adkins then began assaulting the female victim and proceeded to remove money and other personal items from her purse before fleeing the residence in an unknown direction. The female victim and the male victim both suffered minor injuries, however, they declined medical treatment. A 2 year old male was also in the residence at the time of the incident, however, he was not injured.
Responding Troopers, as well as officers from the Laurel Police Department, Georgetown Police Department, Millsboro Police Department, Bridgeville Police Department, and the Greenwood Police Department searched for Thomarius Adkins but were unable to locate him. Troopers then obtained warrants on Adkins charging him with the above list of crimes.
