Watchdog Group Seeks Injunction To Halt Council Prayer

GEORGETOWN — U.S. District Court is being asked to grant a preliminary injunction blocking Sussex County Council from opening meetings with the Lord’s Prayer. In its court filing, Americans United for Separation of Church and State argues the practice is so patently unconstitutional it should be blocked by a preliminary injunction while the case is under way.

When will they go after Wicomico County, too?

I would like to know what Constitution these Non-Americans United for the Destruction of the U.S. are reading from.
Get a grip people, even if you had half a clue you would still be lost. All the things we have going on right now it the world and the U.S. and this is all you got to complain about? Grow up, Wake up, or just plain Shut up. Now have a nice day and I will say a prayer for you.

These groups that do this are nothing but a bunch of insecure mental cases. Probaly the same ones who think all kids should get trophies on a sports team and not just the star players. Too bad if they feel left out and their feelings are hurt-Get Over It. Everybody gets their feelings hurt everyday and they dont' make a big deal out of it because most people don't crave attention or thrive on creating drama.
Prayer before a govenment meeting is a US tradition and if someone doesn't like it, too bad and If it bothers them that much that they can't get over it then they need to be telling it to their shrinks!

Snipped from another site-"The lawsuit, named Mullin vs. Sussex County, has Barbara Mullin as one of its plaintiffs. Mullin lives near Lewes, and she and the other plaintiffs who are part of the Americans United for the Separation of Church and State have attended council meetings in the past and were offended by the promotion of one religion."

As a woman it offends me that Mullin is so weak as to be offended by what is yes, a tradition.

Save the prayers for church or your home.

Don't know why they are upset for asking for a little help. We sure need it.

But God isn't in government yet anyway. This is man's doing.

Every man-made government on this rock has fallen, is falling or will fall.

We are starting to experience it first hand.

When you deny Him, He will deny you. Some people want that. And they want to take as many with them as possible.

You alone are responsible for your own words and actions, or inaction's.

Personally, I need all the help I can get.

It is very simple. Say the prayer before you "open" the meeting. Problem solved.
