Does this mean the city will raise fee's on Comcast who will in turn raise rates on subscribers?

No, it means the City Council is doing what every other gov't body in Maryland does - making sure Comcast is paying the amount it's supposed to. And every gov't body in MD that has requested an audit has found Comcast SEVERELY underpays its franchise fees.

Comcast needs to be audited every quarter. They raise rates every chance they get but the service does not go up with the raise.

Another greedy company which has no soul.

Sounds like when the Democrats say were not paying our fair share and then raise taxes. No matter how you slice it, It's a franchise fee increase so plan on your cable bill going up thanks to Salisbury government greed.

It's not a fee increase - its a check to see if Comcast is paying what they should. That's all.

It's a fee increase on tax payers. Every time the government raises operating costs of a company the increase gets passed on to the consumer. Basically it's a tax.
