Cellphone Carriers Keep Personal Data Up to 7 Years, Report Says

A document obtained by the ACLU shows for the first time how the four largest cellphone companies in the U.S. treat data about their subscribers' calls, text messages, Web surfing and approximate locations.

The one-page document from the Justice Department's cybercrime division shows, for instance, that Verizon Wireless keeps, for a year, information about which cell towers subscriber phones connect to. That data that can be used to figure out where the phone has been, down to the level of a neighborhood. AT&T has kept the same data continuously since July 2008.

Don't like `em keeping tabs on your activities like this?

Use a pre-paid or disposable phone!

Did you know that all your land-line calling activity is also logged and kept in digital files?

Don't you KNOW who has told them to do this? We are being tracked, watched, recorded, and filed. And when did "we, the people" tell them it was okay to do that? Oh yeah, thats right. We never did. Public masters don't ask for the people's permission. They do as they please and your best option is to shut up and obey. And the reason they have went so far is that our nation is FULL of goose-stepping, boot licking sheep who happily say "if you're not doing anything wrong, then why worry about your "rights"?". EXACTLY what the British said to the colonists. Exactly what the Nazi's said to their own citizens. Same with Mussolini and the Italians. So how do you like the comapnay you are in?

I do not trust this country anymore what so ever. After things I have read and seen in the media, coupled with knowledge of the past and future the outcome does not look good. This country will be in for a rude awakening sooner or later. Do you honestly believe the people with all the power in this country are making decisions based on the good of all man kind or just the people in power? Take a guess.
