I'm not aware of anyone saying that people "need" to come out to meet us. I took this as an announcement of an event by an advertiser that asked Joe if we would participate.
Instead, we are derided and even given an implied death threat (of course I know it's a joke because cowards like you would never dare DO anything).
However, this begs a question. If you hate Joe (and evidently me) so much, why do you bother reading SbyNEWS? Why do you take the time to comment?
As commenter 9:54, I did not leave an implied death threat. However I do read this site because at one time, it used to be a good site to get info about our local area. Unfortunately, it's gone downhill and become much of a joke. I keep checking it because I hope, now that GA is involved, that it will turn around and be something it promised to be. That's if egos are checked and the publishers/editors realize that they are not all-powerful nor all-knowing like they pretend to be. Humility can be a wonderful thing. Maybe you should look into it.

Secondly, how is it that you happen to know just how well we do, or don't do.
You see, Salisbury News keeps growing every single day and has for the past 6 or 7 years. Yet you seem to imply we've gone down hill.
Now, you may mean, (in your opinion) we've gone down hill, yet you seem to want to imply as an ANONYMOUS commenter that we aren't doing so well.
GA pointed out that you don't have to come here, if you hate us so much, so much so you feel we'll need a bullet proof vest.
You are an Anti Albero Blogger, it's as simple as that. You are obsessed with those of us who GIVE BACK and Pay it Forward back into this community, while the nay sayers spend every waking hour obsessed and attacking what WE DO every single day.
None of you jackasses do anything to give back. You don't ring the bell in the cold for the Salvation Army. You stay indoors during heavy snow storms and watch us shovel driveways and walkways for the elderly and handicapped, then you steal our photos and make a joke out of us.
More importantly, we're NOT afraid of you. Some of you pansies say you're coming to a Pani Pizza event with picket sighns, yet not one of you show up. We announce where we're going to be, (just like this event) but none of you pussies are man enough to show up at one of these events and face REAL MEN.
What bothers each one of you the most is the fact that we do what we say what we're going to do, we deliver. YOU have NO idea what we really do on a regular basis because we only announce some of the things we Pay Forward to encourage other individuals and or businesses to do the same.
If YOU knew ALL of the things we do for this community you'd probably shut your fat mouths but that's not important to us. Our Advertisers know what we do on a regular basis, as they should know.
So my suggestion to you is to do exactly what I do. I NEVER visit the Anti Albero Blog Sites. I states 7 months ago I would never return and I have not once done so. When someone calls me to tell me what you people have had to say I just start laughing, thinking, you mean to tell me they're still up and running. There are still people going to stupid sites that have absolutely no substance and only post things bitching about Joe Albero. UNBELIEVABLE.
People like JR & JT need to get a life. If I've said it once, I've said it a hundred times. Quit obsessing over us and start providing a SERVICE to the community.
If WE are so horrible, how come no one talks about the other blogs????? How come YOU don't provide a service where EVERYONE is saying, man, that Joe Albero used to have a great site but now I go to so and so because they have more local information and better journalism. THEY DON'T because you have NOTHING and that cracks me up.

I let the comment of Anon 2240 go through for one reason. The same people who make remarks like this are the same people who claim that Albero is such a monster.
While even Joe will admit that he has his faults, he has never sunk to the cowardly depths of people like this.

You seem to be contradicting yourself. You don't want "copy & paste" stuff. However, if I took the same material and had to rewrite it myself it would probably be longer and I don't have the time. As for my posts, how do you expect a complex subject to be handled in 200 words.

I just wish you guys would make up your minds on the humane society. You write post telling us how crapy this place is run and how it needs new directors and stuff. Now your asking us to support them ? what gives ? make up your minds. I for one would never support any thing our local wchs does at this point just from reading what i have read on this blog in the past about the place .
Not to mention wasn't it just discovered our local humane society was diverting funds received from our county and city budgets and using the money to fund other nonprofits ? So we give them tax money and they in turn give that money to who ever they please and have the nerve to ask people for more.
Such obsession going on with these anti Albero bloggers. They clearly derive some pleasure from posting what they believe to be witty and clever comments. It's easy to picture them all giddy and warm and fuzzy when one of their comments gets approved.
I would say to them the proverbial "get a life" but to them this is their life and something they find extremely enjoyable. It's clear they all have a persistent preoccupation with Salisbury News.

I would say you validated 1:32/9:54's ego statement with your 14 paragraph response to their few sentences... That's what they were talking about. And 1:32 stated they were 9:54, not the threat was left at 12:43 in another comment.
Chill out and have some humility. You write generally good local articles. There's no need to be full of yourself, it's unbecoming. GA brings some welcome balance to this site, for sure.
