Sleeping with the enemy
There will be no peace with the taliban until each and every one of them is dead. If this regime had any inklings of a clue, they would already know that. Look at what Isreal has had to put up with for all these years. These animals will not stop until they are dead, or until Isreal and the rest of the free world is dead, whichever comes first. Judging from the response of our government, it may be us.
You can not make peace with someone who wants you dead and will pull any trick they can to do it. Which means, they will claim peace to be able to allow them to come to america legally to later screw us like Britain is getting right now.
WHEN WILL WE LEARN?
Karzai has already stated publicly if the USA does not back him(like the recent event where he stole the Presidential election while our officials kindly looked the other way), he would join the Taliban. He stated this at a press conference, to a room full of reporters. Negotiating with the Taliban won't get us anywhere. They'll say whatever they have to say to encourage the USA to leave, then re-take what ground they've lost. Within 6 months of our withdrawal, the corrupt Afghan gov't will collapse, and the Taliban will be armed with shiny new trinkets supplied by the Americans.
True Americans do NOT negotiate with terrorist!
They don't need our money, they've got all that heroin money. What we should do is drop napalm and carpet bomb the poppy fields if they won't.
Obama will probably have them over to the White House to play golf with him and sing some rap songs!
The Taliban will have Karzai in a grave or in a Burka.
