Antiabortion Measures Flooding State Legislatures

Energized by Republican gains in the last election and still stinging from the passage of President Obama's healthcare overhaul, conservative lawmakers in statehouses around the country have put forward a torrent of measures aimed at restricting abortion.

I wonder how Planned Parenthood would fare if they were to receive no federal dollars and had to raise their own funds? Would they have the courage and transparency to indicate that they are raising funds for free clinics to prevent pregnancy and oh yeah, provide abortions? Could you see any celebrity spokesperson volunteering to spearhead? I do not think so. Yet, folks do not seem to mind if they are indirectly contributing to the pot (in the form of taxes to PP)

true republicans don't care about abortion
it is a poor peoples issue that was co-opted like a lot of other social issues to bring bring working class whites that feel disenfranchised into the party for their vote and their Rockwellesque apple pie Disney dream they will be no better off conservative or liberal
business is business despite your beliefs or values
what never comes up it the apparent classism that is exploited with heated emotional issues
dead babies and dead soldiers should share Arlington they are combined fodder of a flawed idea

Even though I don't agree with abortion if someone wants to have one let them as long as THEY pay for it. Im sick and tired of having to be responsible to pay for someone that can't be responsible.
