Starting this summer, visitors to the State House will be able to transport themselves to the Victorian Era in Annapolis in the old House of Delegates chamber – complete with ornate paintings, luxurious furnishings and intricate carpeting. The long-planned re-creation of the chamber as it appeared in the late 1800s is nearly complete. The newly renovated room, where the House of Delegates met until the current chamber was finished in 1904, has been under construction for about two years.

I, too, thought about re-doing my house in new furnishings, expensive oil paintings, drapes, handpolished wood trim, etc. BUT I DON"T HAVE THE MONEY!!! And would it be too impolite for me to point out that they don't either?? More imperial behavior from the people we elected (again) to "change" things. They should be ashamed. And any normal person would be. BUT, they are thieving, imperial, self-centered, egotistical, bribe taking losers who couldn't care less about what the voters think of them spending 3+ million on "remodeling", while at the same time, telling us we need to be "educated" about the dire straits our economy is in....someone needs some education, all right.....
