Michelle Obama's Close Call?

Troubles continue for the Federal Aviation Administration's air traffic controllers. The FAA is investigating why a plane carrying First Lady Michelle Obama was only three miles from another jet as it was approaching Andrews Air Force Base. Planes are required to be five miles apart. The plane carrying the first lady had to abort its landing, circle around and try another approach. There was reportedly little risk, but this is another embarrassment for the FAA.

Wonder where she went shopping?

Where was she...who all were on the plane and how much did it cost the taxpayers? Does she ever go anywhere on the train or in a limo?

Maybe the traffic controller was asleep or watching TV. Not that I really care because of who it was.

Good Call Ken, can you look that stuff up. Lets not be passive anymore and lets stop asking questions and start finding answers. Its clear that MOB (coincidence?) has been milking our teets for some time now. And good question, has she ever been on a train, or in a limo? Lets get an answer for that, Thanks for the research Ken. Semper Fi!

She was shopping at Wal-Mart and forgot to get some dumb bells for her own use...

I don't get why they're making such a big deal about this in the first place.
I don't consider 2 miles closer than "normal" to be a CLOSE CALL.
Give me a break!

11:00 thank you for your well thought out aeronautical engineering opinion.

The fact is that the FAA issued rules about airplane separation after the crash in Pittsburgh in 1994 where at the time it was thought to be caused by wing vorticies.
The "new" rule is 5 miles separation when landing.
Muchelle was 3 MILES behind the other plane.
What part of "Much ado about nothing" don't you get?

i have personally been diverted & made to fly around one more time. there is much ado about nothing! sik of hearing it!

12:16 - This happens ALL the time with planes!
However, with the President's planes, they have priority in the airspace and the correct procedure should have been for the other plane to fly off in a different direction to correct the distance.
This was NOT news it was media hype and that's all it was.
As far as your comment on my aeronautical engineering opinion, it doesn't take an engineer to know flight rules and procedures. It only takes a PILOT!
