Downtown Salisbury Gets Face Lift Today

Well, a post here, a post there and the next thing you know someone is out cleaning things up and making a positive difference. My hat is tipped to Public Works and the Mayor. Thank You!

I know you would like to take credit for this, but I would have to go with they are getting it cleaned up for the Salisbury Festival.

Give it a month and it will be back to trash in the water and in the streets.

A month, thats too long, After the big party it will look like hell on Sunday afternoon.

The reason is your next post. City officials know most people avoid downtown but might be lured by a party and historically good time.

PUBLIC WORKS/SNHS need to ride down Truitt Street from RTE 13 east to Church St. unbelievable how high the grass is on both sides of the street. I just came from there and I told my wife if this was JOE ALBEROS property they would have him fined and locked up. Keep up the pressure Joe.

in real city's they do this almost once a week.

They were sprucing up for the Salisbury Festival, Joe.

Just got back a few minutes ago. Got to admit, best I've seen the river look in years!

Those that are complaining about why they did it are sounding like a bunch of whining mules. Who cares why they did it? You all were just complaining how bad it looked and it needed to be done and now it is and you're still not happy. Give them some credit, it got done. Great job guys!

I'm sure not complaining! It's great to see the city showing some pride. Everything looked great down there last night. Maybe with a new council, the mayor can actually get something done!

They should have trimmed the trees next to the parking garage. I'm not that tall and I was ducking to keep from them poking me in the eye.

Public works always does a good job, but are treated like crap by the city.
