UMES Makes The List-- America's Most Dangerous Colleges

When it comes to choosing a college, there are a lot of factors to weigh: athletics, social scene, and of course safety. From a parent's point of view, the safety comes high on the list.

Certain elite colleges make the list, including MIT, Duke and Amherst -- a reminder that quality of students bears little on the neighbood.

I was surprised SU didn't end up on the list, too, considering the area and the crime.

What good is a background check if they don't look at it. What a bunch of idiots we put our trust in.

I was attacked by a convicted felon (his charger's: battery assault on woman) he was a construction worker on property. Not only did Umes continue to let him work there, they charged me for the semester I had to leave due to attack!
