What Did YOU Think Of The State Of The Union Speech?

Speech is the right word but "State of the Union"? The Speech was too heavy on lofty goals and too light on the State of This Union. The current (unemployed) workforce was totally ignored and the focus was on future generations. Sputnik? I guess you could consider that as having your head above the clouds.

He never really said what "state" we are in.
But on a lighter note, I won the SOTU bingo in my group!

Did not watch it but did read most of the transcript you posted.

Just words to appease the people who wanted to hear promises and show some type of plan to make things better.

Action is needed not empty rhetoric.

I think when he was finished, he knelt on his prayer rug, faced mecca and prayed.

Don't like him. Don't trust him. Don't think he has any idea of how to lead us out of this mess.

The only thing I can recall that he actually did was force health care down our throats when we sent very strong messages that we didn't want it.

And even that is being recalled, outlawed in some states and caused more controversy.

He is just the same as any other politician. Say what the people want to hear to get elected and not follow through of the very promises that got him elected.

Same old game. Same old BS. Same old slope headed to the bottom.
