Salisbury, Maryland - Senator Richard F. Colburn (R-Mid Shore) announced today that Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis will again serve as Master of Ceremonies for the 17th Annual Rich Colburn Brunch at the Salisbury Holiday Inn on Saturday, January 8, 2011 beginning at 11:00 A.M.
Senator Colburn stated “It is a great honor to again have Sheriff Lewis serve as Master of Ceremonies for this event. Since being elected in 2006, Sheriff Lewis has worked hard to reorganize and restructure the Wicomico County Sheriff’s department. The dedication he has shown to this community show his commitment to Wicomico County and the citizens who live here.” Before becoming Wicomico County Sheriff, Mr. Lewis served for 22 years with the Maryland State Police.
Senator Colburn is again please to announce that Delegate-Elect Mike McDermott will also serve as guest speaker for the event. Delegate-Elect McDermott was recently elected to represent District 38B in the House of Delegates. Mike is a career law enforcement officer having served for 30 years following his graduation from Wake Technical College in Raleigh, North Carolina with a degree in Criminal Justice. He is currently a Lieutenant with the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office. He believes in and practices open government and applies practical, conservative principles when addressing issues.
