Sarah Foxwell Missing: One Year Ago Today

If there's ever been a time in every one's mind we will never forget it will be the Holiday Season of 2009 when little Sarah Foxwell was abducted and ultimately murdered.

We have unfortunately experienced yet another horrific murder in 2010 with Mrs. Greene. Although Mrs. Greene probably will not be remembered like Sarah Foxwell has been, one thing you cannot forget is the extremely hard work and SUCCESS of WBI, Maryland State Police, Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, Fruitland Police, Delmar Police and the Salisbury Police Department.

Together, (as promised) they have once again delivered in a very short period of time after these murders. I have spoken to some involved and let me tell you, they are so proud of the hard work and dedication making sure these criminals are caught and brought to justice. What you DON'T know is just how hard they worked.

Folks, from the time these people were murdered, many of these Officers did not sleep. They worked throughout the evenings to collect tips and catch their thugs. So, when you see an Officer driving down the road today, please wave to them as a way of saying, THANK YOU. Do this throughout the Holiday Season as many of them are probably catching up on some long lost sleep and won't return for a day or two.

Thanks to the tip that came in on this murder of the lady last week.

Thank you to our fine law enforcement and to whoever provided leads for them. Except for the murder of Anitra Pirkle, Chief Webster never seemed to catch any body or to care. That was a tip too.

I'm so sorry for the family of this lady.

God bless you and God bless our fine officers in every agency.

And yes, Sarah, we all still think about you.

Help me lord to be a good and capable deputy. Give me the courage to face the unknown. Give me the wisdom to choose the right path. Give me the dedication to do the best and truest job I can do.

Hey guys it works. 23 years and still kickin.

May God watch over us all and bless the families that have lost so much.

Bless the loved ones that watch us walk out the door with body armor on to do our jobs.

We really are one family no matter what color the uniform is. We have chosen a path that many could not.

Joe thank you for looking out. may you and your family have a great Christmas.

Anitra Pirkle's killers were apprehended by the Wicomico Bureau of Investigation, not the Salisbury Police Department. While abducted in Salisbury, her body was located near Delmar but in Wicomico County. Just to clarify.

Please don't leave out the State's Attorney's Office. Davis Ruark himself along with two others were up all night and then throughout the week advising and assisting MSP Homicide, WBI and other law enforcement agencies. Their assistance was extremely important. I must give Davis credit - even though he lost a primary election he remains committed to the law enforcement and to the entire community right up to the very end of his term. Many of you will be critical of this comment, but you do not know how much Davis, his ability, his commitment to his job, his commitment to his office, his commitment to the community and his commitment to justice will be deeply missed and will be come apparent immediately after he steps out of the door. If he chooses to do so, he will become one of the most effective defense attorneys this area has ever seen, something he might be forced to do because of a very light primary election. I hope the uninformed Democrats who gave Stet Mitchell a gift come to see the magnitude of what's occurred. Davis - All my best goes out to you. This from a LEO.
