Naylor Mill Road Finally Gets Repaved

For the past year, many of us have complained about the bridge at the bottom of the hill on Naylor Mill Road. It was so bad, many people would almost come to a complete stop to assure they wouldn't tear their suspension up. Worry no more Folks. As you can see from the images above, the road is like brand new.

Thank You Wicomico County! I travel that road almost every single day and it was pretty bad. Have any of you seen improvements on other roads we should all know about?

It's been freezing temperatures all week - hopefully they put some additives in, otherwise it'll be back to cracked and potholed in a year.

Thanks for the information , I will start using that road again.
After replacing my shocks and having a front end alignment , I'm glad it's done. I at least helped the economy by spending money on my fairly new vehicle.

I road down S 13 the other day and it was so bad I don't want to go back down there. It looks like they get there road work experience from New Jersey. If you all don't know what that means...In Jersey they are always doing construction on the roads but don't ever get anything done.

I'm not sure about any other roads being done,But Northwood drive need to be done. My guys and drive tractor Trailers on that road every day and it is extremly bad. It is even worse if you drive it without a trailer hooked up,It will beat you half to death.

Do you know how hard commercial traffic (like tractor trailers) is on roadways? OK. We all realize that the roads are in bad shape. The question is do we just keep complaining, or do we try to come up with ways to fix them. I for one would like to see some of my tax dollars go to fix roads, instead of some of the "non-essential" services that the county may have. I do realize that it may mean that I will have to reach into my pocket a little, unless the State will come off of some of what they stole.

Before residents complain or compliment please check to make sure of the facts. Although Wicomico County would like to take credit for the new paving in this area this section is within the City of Salisbury limits and they deserve the credit for the paving. Naylor Mill like many roads around have many different sections some County some City. On some roads you may have 800 foot or so that is County and then it changes back to City for another 800 foot or more. The way areas have been annexed it's very hard to even keep it straight. But give credit where credit is due.

I think the City of Salibury should make a little more sense when they annex, instead of hop-scotching all over the place. When they annexed this little piece of a gem to grab a future tax dollar, they inherited a multi-million dollar liability in that old bridge under the road. If it is in fact the city, why did you wait so long to fix it?

What additives can be put in to stop cracking? Do you work with asphalt?

Repave Beaglin Park between Middle Neck Road and Old Ocean City! It's getting to be horrible!
