Advertisement vs. Reality

This is so true, I always notice how big the ads look when I am looking at the menu board and then see how skimpy the order really is when I get it. The Taco is exact as well, everything looks overstuffed til you buy it and then you can hardly see the meat. This should be illegal and they should be fined for false advertising.

actually the law reads that they don't have to use real food in making the advertisements. you would be amazed at what they use to make the food in those commercials and advertisements look so good. Most of it isn't even food! lol!

I don't have a problem with the ads that make the "food look so good" I have a problem with the food looking so big and overstuffed.

why does everyone have to complain? theres always a simple solution. if you dont like it, dont buy it.

I remember in Marketing class, watching a video by an advertiser who set up scenes for McD's, and how they "manipulated" the food in order to make it look more appealing. Very interesting stuff.

The one that really gets me are the Red Lobster commercials. We live in the mecca of seafo////////////////////////////////+

The one that I really don't understand is Red Lobster. Look at the commercials on TV. Then go there an look at that food. Totally not the same at all. We live in the bounty of seafood and we go to a frozen food seafood restaurant? Have you seen the parking lot at the Red Lobster at the Centre? Jam packed full. I don't get it. Can someone please explain?

11:51, the only problem is when you buy something based on a picture of what you are supposed to get, and you end up with less. How is someone to know they aren't getting what is depicted? This should be illegal. Can you return the product and tell them you want what is in the picture? I call it bait and switch.
