MDGOP statement on the Johnson arrests
ANNAPOLIS – Maryland Republican Party Chairman Audrey Scott issued the following statement in response to Prince Georges County Executive Jack Johnson and Councilwoman Leslie E. Johnson’s arrest:
“Another day, another Democrat lawmaker arrested; when will the Democrat corruption in this state end? Democrat lawmakers need to come to the realization that their role as elected officials is to serve Marylanders, not to use their title for personal gain. The Johnsons’ arrest today is just another addition to the long list of Maryland Democrats taken into custody this year for not playing by the rules. This unchecked corruption is symptomatic of what happens when one party controls nearly all levels of government and it needs to stop now. Sadly many Marylanders will most likely not be shocked by this latest round of arrests as Democrat corruption in this state has become common place.”

I live in PG county, and his name has come up quite a few times talking with the older locals in my neighborhood. Now I fully understand why he's referred to as "Crooked Jack Johnson".

Ahem! This is a matter of breaking the law not playing by the rules. If rules and laws are different, why do we have laws? Is a "rule" that killing a minority victim is ok while killing a non-minority is not ok acceptable?
The Johnson's are simply members of MD's current ruling party that MD citizens voted for. They lead a good portion of the O'Malley support. I have to wonder why, given that they have been under FBI surveillance since last January, why this story "broke" AFTER the elections.
We've had some Republican crooks in Maryland too. The name Agnew comes to mind.
Keep hammering them or they'll simply replace those two thieves with smarter thieves.
Why is it that the majority of this country are Democrats? Why is it that the crime rate is so high in this country? Why is it that recidivism is so rampant in this country?

And we don't have Crooks in Wicomico / Salisbury Politics? They will get their just rewards when they are found out. But then again this is how Progressive / Liberal / Democrats get elected. Again give thanks to the Progressive Democrat Maryland State Politics. Keep reelecting this Crooks and stop complaining because you elected them each election cycle. So don't blame me .
