Family In Need

Hi Joe--

I want to thank you for your efforts in getting the word out to help the family who lost their posessions in the house fire in Onancock. People were very generous in giving and we were able to take a trailer load of stuff to their new rental home! They were so appreciative, the entire family was waiting out in the yard for our arrival. The 2 1/2 year old was tickled pink with the colorful Elmo toddler bed that someone donated.  People donated mattresses, bed frames, couches, household cleaners, clothing, bookshelves and much more. One lady even donated a frozen turkey and a pot to cook it in! So thank you for all that you do on a daily basis to make a difference in this community we all call home. I  hope I will never have to be on the receiving end of such an effort, but i know if I were ever in a similar situation the wonderful and giving people here on the Shore would be there to help with giving hearts! Thanks to everyone who donated.
