Maybe someone should inform Joe Ollinger of Trademark laws before he runs for any form of office:
"Don’t copy or imitate Google's trade dress, including the look and feel of Google web design properties or Google brand packaging, distinctive color combinations, typography, graphic designs, product icons, or imagery associated with Goog...le"

You would think a former IBM executive would know better. He just lost my vote.
To the nay sayers trying to call me out on this Popst. Joe Albero is NOT running for Office or a political seat. Joe Ollinger has EVERY right to call me out on anything he'd like. However, he won't and he definately won't do so using his real name because of this exact Post. We have provided evidence this is not acceptable by Google. Joe attempted to make it sound as if he knows the people at Google and he got permission. OK, show us the letter Joe Ollinger. Until that point, we have the evidence it is not acceptable.
This brings up another topic. I was driving by the Moose Club on Beaglin Park Drive the other day and I saw another candidates name showing through the sign on Ollinger's sign. It appears he has posted his signs over someone elses. I wonder if he had permission to do that? Just wondering after reading this post.
I saw the name shining through also. What the heck is this all about?
wow! the colors are even in the exact same order as the Google logo. shame, shame
I understand that some of the things Joe wants to do - he can't because of the Charter and other reasons. How does he think he is going to overcome all of that and promises to serve only 4 years. I don't get it.
Add that to the use of a Google style marketing campaign - which I happend to think is very clever - but VERY problematic if he truly doesn't have permission.
All of this combined causes me to question his decision making and sense of entitlement/arrogance.
Not only is is there trademark infringement, the sign is hardly noticeable. Good, noticeable signs go a long way with sign recognition. This guy doesn't have a chance in hell of even winning the Powellville town election!
I just turned him in to Google's corporate lawyers.
I've been wondering about that....
You Pollitt fans are looking very rediculous. Rick's in trouble and probably won't get back in there. How's that revenue cap deal workin for you now Rick?
Very, very petty. Can't you guys think of something more than a sign to complain about. Get over it and talk about real issues!!!
