O'Donnell mostly stuck to spewing slogans and trying to smear. I saw very little substance even though Coons tried to stay on task and avoid all the media sensation crud we've seen. I watched as objectively as I could and came away unimpressed by O'Donnell but not exactly wowed by Coons.
She looked like a deer in the headlights and spoke like a buffoon. Welcome to the Tea Party.
O'Donnell kicked Coons' you know what! I was very impressed at the depth of her answers and her understanding of foreign relations and how it affects the economy.

I don't know why, when ole WULF asked about what cuts she would make and then told her NOT to say "waste, fraud, and corruption" because "thats what everyone says", why didn't she ask him if HE asked that question in that manner to ALL candidates, or just her? Because the answer would have been "just her". It wasn't a "debate', it was 3 liberals intent on slammimg the conservative candidate. Did (the washed up) Wolf ask questions about Coon's Marxist comments? One of those "journalists" asked her "how can you make decisions...when your personal finances are so bad"? You mean like Charlie Rangel? It was hit job and those "journalists" should watch the tape and then resign.

This is the most troubling thing that Coons said. Corporations ARE people and most are just 1 or 2 people. Here we are in this horrible economic situation with so many people out of work and Coons attacks Corporations. We need people in Washington to work with ALL Corporations as well as those companies that are not incorporated to get our economy going again.
Even if I were for Coons, that statement would have killed my support for him.
that debate was a ONE sided SLAM. Coons got SOFTBALLS, she got paintballs. TOTALLY unfair questions, the question in which WBOC the great news source showed in TV was about legal decisions the supreme court that she DIDNT agree. the supreme court has been ruling against the Socialist Laws in most part 5 to 4. she is not going to disagree with many of them as a conservative. but COONS will, cause he is a liberal. the question was a TRAP. the whole thing was a setup. You have to be a little bit aware of the political climate and the debate setups to understand that. these voters in Wilmington that DECIDE delaware's fate are not that politically savy, seriously.
She did very well and seemed more credible than Coons. I think low expectation helped her as well. The public also got to see the hostile debate that was obviously stacked against her. I guess the Delaware Democrat political machine have an issue with women...despicable !
It's not about these two the election is about stopping the Socialist agenda.

So we are all saying that the debate did not change anyone's opinion at all. If you think all democrats are socialists, you think O'Donnell won handily. If you think all Repub/Tea Partiers are two-faced corporate shills, then you are for Coons.
Viewers went into this debate with a storyline already written, and just waited for their candidate to fill in the space.
There is no discussion anymore, no debate between people, no conversation. It is shouting and divisiveness either way. Just hold the election tomorrow. All minds are made up anyway...

But I'm just amazed at how "what supreme court decisions....?" is considered hard ball. Your thoughts on gays in the military or the muslim mosque are considered "hardball". Just shows that so many of you out there enjoy simply spouting off whatever comes to mind without any in depth analysis which is truly the problem with this democracy (whether you're on the left or right).
She tried to be a comedian, but came off looking like an butt. Coons tried to keep the debate on the issues, not the mudslinging, yet she kept throwing. And she had very little specifics on any issue, simple key phrases ("legislating from the bench": you mean that part where the courts strike down laws that they judge to be unconstitutional?).

I watched the debate and hope that anyone who hasn't made a decision did as well. O'Donnell was way out of her league when asked about specifics. She hasn't had time to memorize anything beyond the soundbites. Coons came off as competent whether you agree with him or not. I would rather have as my representative someone who is competent and has actual experience in government; not someone who is led by the folks behind the scenes. He at least was forthcoming on his beliefs, while she dodged;ie abortion for him, evolution for her. And do we really think she had some special intel on China? In what capacity? She's an extremist of the worst kind and the cutesy behavior will not take her far when dealing with real issues. Does anyone know what her actual job experiece is? I would have liked to hear more about what she's done and less canned soundbites about her "evil" opponent.

I did not watch the debate, but it's interesting how one or two of the contributors here raved about her performance ("kicking Coons' you-know-what), while others who watched the same debate thought she came over like a buffoon. Now, the one who said that politics is a man's world--I wouldn't even go there!

I work for a small business that is considered a corporation because we are incorporated. We have about 8-9 employees and that includes everyone from the owner to the bottom of the line. We are struggling. We have a great repuation in the area and do great work. We aren't trying to get rich we're trying to keep the 8 people we have employed- employed. Not every business out there is trying to make a quick million and sell out to the rest of the working Americans. Small businesses are taking hits and if it continues then we will all be standing in line waiting for our unemployment check too. The word corporation doesn't soley refer to big companies that makes millions. Maybe you need to chit chat with many of these corporations on the eastern shore that are small operations.. some are a 1-2 man show. I'm sure if you asked around, they aren't trying to get rich, they're just trying to get by and feed families.
She was all over the place with not one answer that had substance.
O'Donnell clearly won the debate leaving Coons looking petty and the moderators looking like a gang of bullies!
O'Donnell is controlled opposition - as was Senator McCain. He knew (as does she) that he would not win. He (and Palin) were plants to give the appearance of opposition.
Elections are not left up to the people for crying out loud! We don't choose the officials. They are chosen for us.
3:27, I'm not arguing the definition of "corporation". But it's pretty clear in the context of buying elections what we are talking about here is not your operation. I doubt you have the kind of money that walmart or any other US firm has to play commercials on prime time 7 days a week.

Anyone with common sense knows that it's not a good idea to allow billion dollar companies unimpaired access to political activities. If Rep. were in power, they would be fighting against the Citizen's United case.
