The Fence

Which side of the fence?
If you ever wondered which side of the fence you sit on, this is a great test!

If a Republican doesn't like guns, he doesn’t buy one.
If a Democrat doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a Republican is a vegetarian, he doesn’t eat meat.
If a Democrat is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

If a Republican is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a Democrat is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.

If a Republican is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A Democrat wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a Republican doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Democrats demand that those they don't like be shut down.

If a Republican is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
A Democrat non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.

If a Republican decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.

A Democrat demands that the rest of us pay for his.

If a Republican reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh.
A Democrat will delete it because he's "offended".

Any good fence needs a gate, it makes it easier to get to the other side. And some times you need to go to the other side in order to make a proper repair. Just something to think about.

the only problem currently with the government is that its too one sided so of course the democrats will get whatever they want simply by majority vote ....but this is a problem as there is no balance of said power .... so it turns into a mini dictatorship and the pols simply do as they please while us peons/servants to them do what they tell us to do .... hopefully in November we get that balance of power back ... and we the people will once be heard again

Ah, but if a Democrat is against abortion, she won't have one.

If a Republican is against abortion, she tries to ban it.

If a Democrat doesn't want to marry someone of the same sex, he doesn't.

If a Republican doesn't want to marry someone of the same sex, he tries to make it illegal for any same-sex couple to get married.

You get the idea: Intolerance is not a one-way street. There's plenty on both sides of the fence.

what? if a gay republican wants to get marry, he deals with the laws as they are.

if a gay dem wants to get marry, he wants the people to change their laws and throw a party for him.

If the democrats hold the majority and can't pass legislation thay blame the minority for stonewalling and then of course blame Bush.

If Louise Smith won't put a discussion of crime legislation on a work session agenda, the Daily Times will blame Debbie Campbell and Terry Cohen for filling the leadership void by holding meetings with the public to get their input.

Life is just crazy sometimes.
