In predictable Linda Lugo fashion, Linda also now claims that a letter was sent out last February referencing this matter and the Board of Directors instructed her to follow through.
Now, as ANYONE who knows anything about Linda Lugo would know, NO ONE, (and I do mean no one) has EVER seen such a letter. Each department in the City have looked through their files and records and NO ONE is in receipt of any such mentioned letter.
Linda, without a doubt, will go public with this ALLEGED letter that EVERYONE seems to have now LOST and try to cover her tail. Sorry Linda, you're too late. WBOC is all over this like there's no tomorrow. Heck, I wouldn't even be surprised if they go LIVE at noon with a broadcast.
It should also be noted, there is now a sign on the front door telling people the HS will no longer take animals from City of Salisbury Residents.

Linda Lugo makes me want to bang my head against the wall.
It would be nice if the humane society actually hired people who were PASSIONATE about animals. If you want a job that doesn't require some sort of passion and sympathy then go work at mcdonalds.
How can she do that? I would think that if you are in Wicomico Co. you have evey right to take an animal there! Cry baby! Grow up woman! She sounds like a real piece of work.

To many people need jobs to let this place be run like it is!!! The County should have done something a few yrs back when she was under the gun for lying to people!!!! No , they brushed it aside!!!!! Who is responsible for seeing this place is run correctly? Anybody got any answers??????
She was on WBOC today with a small
kitten speaking on how to take care of your animal during a huricane. Even the kitten knew he wasnt loved. He kept scratching and biteing trying to get away.

AGAIN? Again we're talking about the incompetence at the Humane Society? Again we're talking about mismanagement there? How many times must this "manager" bring her shortcomings to light before someone finds her replacement?

I will NEVER deal with Linda Lugo again. A few years ago, she lied to my face. Had her volunteers lie to my face. And then was published in the Daily Times spewing lies to anyone who bothered to read her crap. It is SOLELY because of her and past employee "Tom" that I will NEVER again set foot in the Humane Society in Wicomico County. Animals need saving everywhere - and now I go to other nearby counties.
Linda Lugo is spiteful. She's nasty. And she's capable of anything - including the unnecessary killing of animals. And shame on that ridiculous board of directors who sit in their seats and tremble when she speaks.

Joe you and I both know Linda Lugo is a conflicted person period. With that siad they are hard to work with out there on all levels. She needs to go.
Joe this might be a decent story to follow up on. A while back i was on Norris Twilley Rd. in Sharptown. If you come off of 54 the house is no the right. The house is packed with dogs. All kind of dogs. The place is filthy. There are dogs out back in crates. The lady there is a care taker of a eightyfive-five year old person. I do not know how the elderly lady breathes in that filth. That is one issue.
This women taking in all these dogs and selling them stated she gets them from the Salisbury City Animal Control guy ?? W.T.F. is going on. This lady is a puppy mill and it is a dirty one to boot.
It gets better I know who the family is of this elderly women. Her colonial home has been turned into a pig sty. The care taker has also brought her three kids to live there ? One of which is suicidal/homicidal.
I felt like i was in a horor movie dude.
I called some people with the county and the state. I went by the other day it is all the same outside. I did not stop. So i do know if the elderly lady is still there.
Well thought this might be worth looking at.

Here's a request to the WCHS board of directors. I know that at least one of them has to be reading. Kindly provide us tax payers with a copy of your audited financials from last year and tell us about the proceedure for the board's adoption of the budget for this year as well as the amounts for the general categories of the budget - expenses and revenues. Thank you, a taxpayer who would like to know.

I Know personally how this woman lies & so do a lot of others, Including The County Council!!!!!! They , a few yrs ago brushed her authoritative behavior & blatant lies to people "Under the Rug!!!" A lady by the name of Farlow , was bitten by 2 dogs . This was reported to Lugo who said there was Nothing The HS Could Do!! By County Law the dogs should have been deemed Potentially dangerous & made to be kept locked up at all times!!! Right after this attack ----people will well remember the attack by these Same Two Dogs on the 12 or 14 yr old boy!!!! These dogs would have killed the child had he not had his cell to call him Mother!!!
People testified to Ms Lugos lack of respect & not doing what she, by County Law should have done with these dogs!!!!
This was swept over as quietly as possible & The County refocused Everyones Eyes to their wanting to Appoint A Committee to Rewrite Salisburys Dog Laws . This had been pointed out to them & the fact these laws had not been updated in 20 yrs. The old Laws stated a dog could kill & Still Live!!!!
It Took Over One Year for these New Laws to be approved by our County-----surely enough time for the anger of people with Ms Lugo to blow by the way side for not attending to her job-----Right--- You D-- right that's right.
If you question her authority, heaven forbid----the wrath of God will be upon you!!!! Well it's high time The Wrath of God Is Placed Where It Belongs!!!!!

Seriously, what are the requirements for this job? I'd love to take it off her hands and do something right with the place. Let someone who REALLY cares about animals make the right decisions. She needs to go.

People really should do all their research before posting comments! Linda Lugo doesn't not deem a dog dangerous... the health department is responsible for that!
I know there are a lot of people out there who absolutely love the humane society ... because every time i go over there they are packed full of people. When i was searching for a dog everyone recommended i go there... wonder why that is? I got the great dog i have ever had from the H.S.W.C. and There facility is incredibly clean (have you been to other shelters?) Their staff is absolutely amazing. The Lady is the dog area knows every single dog and their personalities.
When i took my dog home she came out to say good-bye and immediately my dog started wagging her tail and she jumped up in her arms. I really did not think my dog wanted to leave their. So how can people say those people don't have love and compassion for their animals.
The Young Lady who did my adoption was so GREAT. I call periodically to tell her how my pup is doing and every time she shows her love for those animals. She is sincerely happy my dog is doing well. She is wonderful at what she does. Very personable and a sweet young lady. I must have talked to her for an hour the first day i went in there and she guided me towards a dog she thought would be right for me. And let me tell you she was RIGHT!
Also there was a lady in the front office (when i visited with my dog one time) that was crying because she recently lost a dog and was donating all of her stuff to the humane society and one of the office ladies showed her deepest sympathies towards the grieving women.
Once i visited with a friend of mine who was adopting a cat and looked and looked and finally asked a staff member, who then i directed us to the "cat lady" who knows obviously knows everything there is to know about all those cats in that shelter.
I few years back i had a bad experience with the humane society but that didn't stop me from going back in to look around. I'm sooo glad i did. The staff is very dedicated to their jobs and the animals. They make it obviously when you see their faces when an animal gets adopted. I will never go to another shelter ever again. These people at hswc do a wonderful job. If you don't like their director, then fine. But the staff is sincerely impeccable

7:55----Ms Lugo should have , when called upon, reported the dog had bitten Ms Farlow! Ms Lugos reply was ----"The bite wasn't big enough." For your information, had a truck not come along to help Ms Farlow off the road from these 2 dogs that were attacking her------She would have been in the same condition as the Sibert child they attacked . These dogs had been reported many times , as testified, for running loose.
I am glad you find the others at the HS friendly & caring. I found them that way myself--- But --- I will never volunteer there because of Ms Lugos arrogant & bullying actions & attitude. I don't know how the employees put up with it!! I have been a resident of this County for over 40 yrs ---- have never heard such negative & true things or seen such actions from any Directors there before.
If you can get this County to listen Joe, I will get down & kiss your feet! I tried, so have many other---it only threw a little scare into her. With the people that testified at that meeting a few yrs ago-----It should have been enough for the County to get rid of her. What the H--- were they afraid of anyway? EW

I just adopted my dog from the humane society without any problems. Don't let the animals suffer because the management are idiots. The kennel staff and the young lady at the front desk were extremely helpful.
