Worcester County Press Release

During the month of June, 2010 a Worcester County Grand Jury indicted several alleged drug dealers as a part of investigations involving the Worcester County Narcotics Task Force, and Ocean City Police Department. Some of those who were indicted were part of an on-going cooperative effort between the Office of the State’s Attorney for Worcester County, and law enforcement under the Take Pride in Berlin initiative. This is follow up enforcement of the Controlled Dangerous Substance violations, which was announced last year at a community meeting. In addition, indictments were also placed against individuals from Snow Hill, and Pocomoke City.

The following individuals have been served with indictments:
Tamar G. Cutler Brian L. Harmon
Richard L. Huffman Tyronn R. Lawson
Charles Lockwood Quincy J. Purnell
Terrance L. Purnell Sr. Christopher D. Chambers
Anthony L. Sterling Terry E. Waters
Carl E. Williams Rentay D. M. Purnell

Additional arrests are anticipated, as this is a continuing effort to quell the street level drug dealing occurring within Worcester County.

With the election of State's Attorney coming up, expect to see more of these press releases. Once Labor Day has come and gone, the number will increase and pretty soon you will see Todd's name up there making the announcement instead of an assistant. Typical politics. Play the "fear-the-criminal" trick on the citizens. Yeah, vote for me and I'll protect you. Vote for me and I'll keep putting them away. Watch....and see if I am not right about this.

anonymous 5:19, isn't that the damn truth. I haven't heard from Joel Todd in 4 years and all of a sudden he's sending me anything and everything he can. I've been very tempted to not publish them but that wouldn't be fair on the residents in the County. However, it does say a whole lot over the past 4 years as to why he now thinks it's important to put this info out there. My guess, Oglesby has him running scared. Should be a great race.

I went to school my whole life with one of these guys... he was a funny, light-hearted, very likeable guy who never seemed like the type to get into this kinda trouble. Just another sad story and life wasted.
