Tree Crashes Down At Ben's Red Swings Playground And Salisbury Zoo
This tree fell at about 6:30 pm yesterday near Ben's Red Swings in the Park. It did damage to the fence surrounding the play area and the fence around the Zoo itself. Thank God, no one was hurt.

It has been at least 10 years (since before Barrie Tilghman) that the City has done any major pruning or removal of trees in the City Park, and it is really obvious now -- both low hanging limbs and dead/dying trees. The area along the river has become a thicket and will soon block the view in many places.
Together will lack of maintenance of the facilities (zoo, etc.) it is becoming very run down in appearance -- not exactly what you would expect to find in an "All America City".
