DISAGREEMENT BETWEEN TWO MEN LEADS TO STABBING


On July 24, 2010 at approximately 2:10 a.m., Ocean City Police responded to 5401 Coastal
Highway for a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located one male victim, whose
name is not being released at this time, lying in the parking lot.


An on scene investigation revealed that the victim was approached and assaulted by the
suspect. According to witnesses, the suspect then stabbed the victim several times. In
addition, officers discovered that the victim and the suspect had prior association
involving each other, including a possible disagreement earlier in the week.


The suspect in the stabbing has been described as a tall Hispanic male in his mid-thirties.
He was believed to have fled the 54th Street area on foot and is still at large. Detectives
are actively pursuing leads and continuing to seek witnesses, including individuals who left
the scene in a red Suburban.


The victim was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center and is currently being treated
for his injuries. Ocean City Police are asking witnesses or anyone with information
regarding the incident or suspect to call
