Wildlife Photo Of The Day

Eastern Screech in their red phase owl in our back yard in Snow Hill MD. These are the smallest owls of North America. No further than 20 feet from the ground and 20 feet from the house. A nesting pair. Eastern Screech Owls nest for life, and have a clutch of 2 to 5 eggs. Photo taken May 2 and 3rd in my backyard. We have named them Loretta and Henry. Loretta loves the view of our side porch from her front porch!

Very nice pictures! Nice to see someone enjoying wildlife instead of complaining about it. Enjoy!

We had an owl in one of our trees last night in Laurel. We couldn't see it, but we heard it. Seemed to be pretty close to the house.
We were fascinated since we've never noticed on around before.

what a gift to be able to "live" with them!
