TROOPERS CHARGE MAN WITH POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DELIVER MARIHUANA
On the evening of Monday, May 17, 2010 Troopers from the Salisbury Barrack of the Maryland State Police along with members of the Wicomico County Narcotics Task Force made contact with a red Lincoln Aviator in reference to an ongoing drug investigation. The driver of the vehicle, J. Marc Buffington, 39, of Delmar, Md. was found to be in possession of 3 pounds of marihuana while attempting to deliver it to an undisclosed location in Salisbury. Buffington was taken into custody and charged with possession of marihuana with intent to deliver, possession of marihuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Buffington was turned over to a District Court Commissioner pending a hearing.

legalization would deminish the wasted tax dollars we spend each year to keep these people in prison. If it was legal no one would have to worry about drug related violence becasue they wouldnt have to deal with a dealer instead a professional.
Mr. Albero you are correct it is spelled both ways. I love people that think they know it all...

Although the spelling "marijuana" is more common in current usage, the correct spelling for the Marihuana Tax Act is "Marihuana". "Marihuana" was the spelling most commonly used in Federal Government documents at the time. To stay consistent with prior law, it is still spelled "Marihuana" in some congressional bills such as HR 3037, the Industrial Hemp Farming Act of 2005.
"marihuana" is the Mexican Spanish (as opposed to what they speak in Spain) spelling.

As for me, I live in the United States of America. I prefer English.
Only here in Salisbury would we see 8 posts of nonsense arguing over the spelling of 'marijuana' vs. 'marihuana' rather than addressing the issue at hand. This town can't fall into the ocean fast enough.
