only thing i see wrong is the "Find the error, ITS impossible" should be "it's"
it's
soooo....what is the answer?
appears that after the first two numbers which are smaller than the 3 numbers that follow... I.E. the 1 & 2 are small then the 3, 4, 5 and so on
i sent it but the answer didn't appear before my eyes?? please post it sometime. thanks. ;)
could it be the misspelling of UCSD?
the error(s) are grammatical.
It is the grammar that is in error. 80 % huh? Wow
i cant get it
can't do it.
it pops up "are you stealing copy righted stuff"
its should be it's
It is impossible to find the error, because there is no error.
its should be it's...
that is the error
I think I found the error anyone else?
I GIVE UP....WHAT'S THE ERROR?
yeah I tried this from my regular e-mail and didnt get it. What's the error?
What is it???????
some of the number are of diff sizes
It's
hehe, thanks for the chuckle...
(hint: the numbers are not the error)
Find the error. It's impossible.
Two errors I see: Twice the word "its" should be "it's." ("It's" at the very top is correct.)
Not unlike many other times on this site I see where "its" is misspelled as "it's" -- Take note: with an apostrophe always means "it is," the possessive is "its."
Example: It's funny when the dog chases its tail.
I forwarded it like it says but the answer did not pop up as it says it would. Although I think I figured it out. Look closely at 3,4,5,7 and the 3,4,5,7 of the numbers 13,14,15,17 they are larger then all of the other numbers.

but, in a different style of writing its is acceptable as is. all depends on what year you were in school and who taught you.
If the error is a technicality in the appropriate use of the apostrophe, one could also make the arguement that it is a compound sentence and not grammatically correct. "Find the error, its impossible" should be two separate sentences or separated by a semi-colon at least.

I think the sequence of numbers should have a "0" in front of number 1.
The answer to the riddle is in the first line, "Find the error = It's Impossible. It's impossible because there is no error, and that's exactly the reason why 80% of UCDS (whatever UCDS is suppose to represent)students could not find it.
My husband Bob figured it out! There should be a comma separating each number or it reads as one very large number. Is he correct?
(Thanks Joe for this fun riddle:-)
the answer is in front of you when you send it because it shows up in the subject field.
Find the error, its impossible
The error is there is no apostrophe in it's
Error 1: "Find the error" is a sentence and should end with a period.
Error 2: "its" is possessive but should be a contraction of "it is:" therefore, it should have an apostrophe.
Error 3: "Since "it's impossible" is a sentence, "it's" should have the i capitalized.
Error 4: "Since "It's impossible" is a sentence, it should have punctuation at its end. Suggestions are a period or colon.
At least two more errors as 1) It's not impossible. 2) Since there are at least 3 and if including the two you included then 5, error is not singular but plural and should be "errors".
80% couldn't find it, so 20% could-so it is not impossible. That is the error-saying it is impossible.
I agree with the last poster... If 20% of Stanford students could find the error, it isn't impossible.
For the people who really believe that the size of some of numbers are smaller than the rest...You all MUST be really slow....that makes NO sense.....you just insist that because they say there is an error, that you will see anything wrong....IF there is an error, it would obviously be its/it's.....
The answer is as follows:
The title states it is impossible, but at the bottom, it says that 80% of UCDS students could not find the error. That means the other 20% have solved it, therefore making it possible, not impossible.
It should read:
Find the errors. It's not impossible.
1 2 3 ...
80% of UCSD students could not find the errors.
(And, I might add, it is also an error to forward chain mails. Even more, it is an error to expect that forwarding it to however many friends they say and then expecting an answer....)
the answer is the work 'impossible'
Read it like this
Q:Find the error ?
A:Its 'Impossible'
People? Nothing came up, yet the answer was rite infront of you. Nothing. Nothing.
There is no problem!
The answer is ....... The error is in the sentence "find the ERROR, It's impossible."
The answer is..... The error is found in the sentence "Find the ERROR. It is impossible" << The word ERROR is in the sentence ^^ (my opinion"
There should be a period at the end of the sentence, that's the error...
I know the answer. The words "its impossible" is the error because if 80% of the sudents couldn't do it, then the other 20% could do it so its not impossible.
There isn't an error
HERE IS ANOTHER POSSIBLE ERROR
There is another error. At the beginning it says Find the error, its IMPOSSIBLE.
Well it also says that 80% of UCDS students could not find the error above, this means 20% found the error, so this means it is not IMPOSSIBLE since 20% found the error
could not
