I am impressed! there is at least one student in college that gets it!!! Keep it up young man. You are one of the leaders of the future.
and the point is he should have left the 100 million in there?
The point is that he wants Americans to believe that he is cutting such a huge amount from the budget. 100 million is a lot of money but a paltry amount compared to what he should be cutting out.
The real point is that you're so desperate for a "gotcha" to post you overlook the irony of the message.
The student spends so much effort explaining how people who don't know any better are so impressed by what in reality is nothing impressive at all, yet here you are fawning all over this kid's "impressive" revelation, which in reality is nothing impressive at all. You just don't know any better.
The problem with you Conservatives is that you latch on to the first thing that impresses you without doing your homework. That is how you're constantly being BS'ed into wars of aggression, voting for undeserved tax breaks for the ultra wealthy who themselves say they don't want it, and "death panels".
You have no ability to think critically. You just kneejerk to whatever "fact" is presented to you so you can justify what they tell you to fear or hate.
If you had the intellectual fortitude and character to think for yourself, you'd do some real reflection on the budget, whether or not the $100M referenced here is the end all to the administration's efforts, whether or not ANY administration acts responsibly, who the national debt and this depression can actually be attributed to, etc, etc.
But you don't have it, so you crow about some "impressive" kid's demonstration that carries with it no context and without thinking about it.
Just like he wants you to.
If I might be allowed, I'd like to respond to the post of the all knowing Liberal commenting on this video.
First of all, where is the irony in this demonstration as you suppose there to be? This is a real world demonstration of the financial mess created by all Presidential administrations and Congressional sessions over the previous 100 years which includes conservative, liberal, Republican, Democrat, progressive, etc.
Second, you say the demonstration is about “nothing” that is not “impressive at all”. You think the fact that you, I, all Americans living and future generations are in slavery to such a massive national debt that when the interest is included we owe over $55 trillion is “nothing impressive at all”? Have you taken a look at the National Debt Clock recently?
Third, you point out the problem with “you Conservatives” is we don't do our homework. It seems to me that's what the liberal progressives hate the most about conservatives. We do our homework and keep getting in the way of their agenda by knowing the history of the US Constitution and what the Founding Fathers intentions were for this country. I can tell you it certainly wasn't for us to be in bondage to such a massive national deficit.

Let me address these three items by saying it takes a majority vote of Congress to declare a war. Last time I checked that included both the House and Senate and I've never in my lifetime seen a 100% conservative control of both houses. Any war the US has been involved in took both sides for approval.
As far as “tax breaks for the ultra wealthy” goes, it seems to me the liberal left thinks the income of these citizens somehow is their money and should be treated as such. Whether you're at poverty level or making a six plus figure income, we're all citizens of the United States and are guaranteed equal treatment. Why should they be treated differently from middle income earners getting a tax cut? Progressives want to “redistribute the wealth” which I see as discrimination. Besides, many in this category are business owners and if they're not being treated fairly by the government where's their incentive to create jobs?
As for “death panels”, I admit the name comes from Sarah Palin but the idea comes from Obamacare which was shoved down the American publics throats as we were kicking and screaming we didn't want it. I think we got the message across last November because we did our homework, even though Nancy Pelosi tried to convince us the bill needed to be passed so we could understand what's in it. I think this one also addresses your claim we “kneejerk to whatever “fact” is presented to you so you can justify what they tell you to fear or hate”. Don't think there's much kneejerking when one does their research and gets all of the facts before acting.
And lastly, as for “intellectual fortitude and character” and “real reflection on the budget” I've used both and come to the conclusion that the student who produced this video demonstration of the mess we're in, and what is being done to remedy it, is spot on. I give him two thumbs up for helping all of us to better understand the gravity of the situation.
