Crabs Going Cheap At Farmers Market In Salisbury
Its a beautiful day out there Folks and I just received word that Crabs are going CHEAP at the Farmers Market on Market Street! So much so, you can get them for $20.00 a half bushel!!!!
anonymous 12:20. I waited almost 2 hours before I went up there. The guy wanted to leave so I bought everything he had, a bushel. I said, first come, first served. Just my way of giving back to the famers market. Sorry about that.
Joe, thank you for giving the market a plug it was most helpful. The first day is usually slow because not many people realize we have opened. Your help publicizing the Farmers Market has been fruitful and appreciated by all the vendors. This year on opening day some of the vendors sold out early and left. Asparagus were gone by 9am strawberries by 11. The fresh baked breads were nearly sold out by noon. Thank you to all for supporting local farmers, bakers and watermen. We hope to continue to see you throughout the year.
At that price they gotta be ditch crabs, good craps cost more than that. I got a bushel of #1 males from Skipjacks live and only had three dead ones in the pile. Tasty and heavy for this time of year. The rest of the night is a blurrrr...
8:07 I had AYCE crabs yesterday at Waterman's in West Ocean City. While crabs weren't large, they were packed very heavy with meat and with lots of mustard in the shells.

How were the crabs Joe? Ususally during a full moon many crabs shed their shells causing them to look big however many are light weight.
why were they even being sold there, suppose to be a farmers market. local farmers, waterman just reap what the state has planted
Looks like some females in that picture. I hope watermen aren't selling them this year.
