AFP Meeting This Wednesday Evening

Join us for a Job Interview for the First Congressional Seat: Wednesday (5/26) 7pm Andy Harris at Brew River

How will we be represented in the US congress? Right now the two front runners for office, vying for that position are current incumbent Frank Kratovil and challenger, state senator Andy Harris. This Wednesday Andy will tell us why he thinks he can best represent fiscal conservatives in Washington and will take a substansial time to engage with AFP with our questions and concerns. Is he the right guy for the job or is Kratovil? Come find out this Wednesday Night. Our meeting will start promptly at 7pm at Brew River 502 West Main Street, in Salisbury.

AFP Wicomico May Meeting - This Wednesday!

This month's meeting will feature an update of our local organizational structure, which we have built out substantially... and how you can get directly involved. We will also go through the key elections that we can influence and who is running. Information on early voting will also be shared.

Joe Holloway from the Wicomico county council will give us the low down on what is going on with the county budget and recent issues including night meetings.

As mentioned, we will also be hosting a Q&A with Andy Harris, contender for the fist congressional seat in Maryland and this is our opportunity to ask the hard questions and see if Harris meets the muster to earn our votes.

It should be noted that we have invited Frank Kratovil; as well and are awaiting his response as we continue our "Meet The Candidate Series".

From today's Daily Times:

"Ireton, who has the authority to veto the council's budget, said the furlough pain must be dispersed equally. He said the council is wrong to exempt one class of employees from furloughs."

Then when will teachers start the furloughs, Jim? You are a union board member and you asked for more for teachers with no offer of sharing the pain.
