BRIEF RESUME: On 4/22/10, at approximately 2149 hrs, Troopers from the Salisbury Barrack stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. The occupants exhibited indicators of criminal activity. A Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office k-9 was requested for a scan of the vehicle. The K-9 scan of the vehicle was conducted and a positive alert for controlled dangerous substances was indicated by the k-9. Subsequent search of the vehicle and the suspects resulted in the seizure of 68 Xanax pills for which neither of the suspects had prescriptions for as well as 18 grams of marihuana and dozens of new empty plastic baggies. The suspects were arrested and transported to the Wicomico County Central Booking Unit for a hearing with the District Court Commissioner.
