GOVERNOR MARTIN O’MALLEY TO CONTINUE “JOBS ACROSS MARYLAND TOUR” AT SALISBURY UNIVERSITY

Governor to discuss performance measurement practices that increase efficiency and effectiveness and help protect the Chesapeake Bay

ANNAPOLIS, MD
– At the invitation of former Congressman Wayne Gilchrest, Governor Martin O’Malley will continue the “Jobs Across Maryland Tour” tomorrow at Salisbury University, where he will address students and faculty on the innovative performance measurement standards he’s implemented as Governor, including the BayStat program. Governor O’Malley will discuss how a more efficient and effective government helps create the conditions for economic growth in tough economic times.

The Governor will discuss these initiatives with a public audience, and later talk with former Congressman Gilchrest’s “Politics and the Environment” class. Governor O’Malley will hold a media availability at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Jobs stop on the western shore. Owe'Malley has brought NOTHING to the EAstern Shore but a lot of empty promises, hard times and joblessness like we've never seen before.

It would be great if ES became its own country. Oh my, those beautiful 1950s!

The ES is mired in it's agrarian past. Companies don't want to come here. There isn't enough skilled labor for high tech manufacturing. And who wants to pay you a good wage and benefits when they can pay a china man 1/4 to sow those close or a mexican 1/2 to pluck those chickens?
