What's The Word On The Street??????

Many talk about some of the moves County Executive Rick Pollitt has made during his almost 4 years on the job. Some are saying it will cost him his job.

That being said, I'm curious. What's the word on the street as to who may run against him?

If you're going to Talk The Talk, who's going to Walk The Walk?

I would like to see Stewart Leer run for Council. He has his hand on the pulse of the people and is a very good businessman.

Charles Jannace?

I have no idea who may run against him but I totally agree about the horribly moves that he has made in many areas. He seems to be just another tax and spender and really doesn't know how to solve problems without throwing money at the problem when in fact there are usually simply fixes to most problems that don't cost tax dollars.

Anyone except Alessi!

Stevie Prettyman!

Sorry I should have explained more regarding Stevie Prettyman. She has always been there for the employees of the county. She also looks out for the citizens, too. I have not always agreed with her on some issues, but I respect her and you always know where she stands on an issue and why.

Stevie and Joe Holloway need to keep their positions on the council. They do well in those positions.

Where is BJ Corbin when you need him. I would vote for him again.

I agree, and Pollitt may be unbeatable by anyone except, perhaps Jim Perdue, who is not available.

Corbin is a loser.

Joe im not at all into pollitics, but have you ever considered running for any positions, what I mean I guess is that you always seem to talk the talk so how about you go for the walk then?

First of all, I'm not a baby kisser for $100,000.00 a year.

Secondly, I can do more with Salisbury News and not have to answer to anyone.

Three, if I ran against Pollitt I'd win. It's your lucky day Rick because I'm not running my friend.

Go Cannon !

2:14..interesting and delusional view of the world

Anonymous said...

1:26...oh , you mean because Cannon actually thinks about an issue and votes his conscience rather than spouting the party line?

Yeah...guys like him are dangerous...partisanship has been so good for America.

How does the majority feel about a woman that abandons her kids for a man...

No 4:40 because he's not a conservative, he's a fiscal liberal. i.e: Civic Center parking lot.

5:51....you really don't understand the economics of that decision do you?...it isn;t liberal or conservative...it's common sense to preserve a facility that generates economic activity.

Those who voted against it knew all that, but played politics to curry favor with people like you, knowing all the time that the vote would pass with a majority....it's called "politics"

joe
you said you can do more through sbynews than a public office. can you elaborate? you could spark people with sbynews but unfortunately a public office is where changes actually happen, i.e. signing on a dotted line, etc. but a public office can lead by example also.

please don't rip my head off for asking, i am just trying to learn and understand thought processes. i am always open to learning new ways to think.

anonymous 8:36, I do quite a bit behind the scenes for both the City and the County. I'll not elaborate beyond that.

Joe, how about Fourth, you don't live in the county. I could be wrong, but I thought there was a residency requirement. And of course, you'd be willing to move to Maryland.

anonymous 9:38, you're exactly right. However, I own at least 16 properties in Wicomico County. I could easily change my residence.
