This is a great place to eat! It is right on the bay and I don't understand why or how people can hear anything! It is as the name implies, "Hideaway" !!! Some people have to grip to just be happy I guess...
For those interested in this issue, I would focus on the last sentence of the article. Members of the community who were unable to attend the last hearing have been assured that their testimony will be heard. I believe the community is fully supportive of the marina and of having a quiet restaurant. There are two serious concerns of the community: (1) the numerous existing violations of the law need be addressed and corrected and the Hideaway Grill owners need to assure the community that their business will operate in full compliance of all laws going forward and (2) the loud and rowdy atmosphere created by the loud outdoor music needs to stop and the peace and quiet that the community has always been known for needs to be restored. Most of us living within earshot of the music find it highly objectionable and are requesting that the outdoor music be prohibited. In addition we are requesting that the county enforce the sound limits of the existing noise ordinances. If those that do not live in the immediate neighborhood of the business would like loud outdoor music on a regular basis they should open such a business in their own neighborhood.
10:54 How about when one of the local watermen come in with straight exhaust on ther boats do you bitch then to? Calling anyone to enforce a law then? Didn't think so. Adam stated he wanted to shut down by 9pm.
anon 856 maybe the "bonehead" deal islander takes his or her 5 min boat ride to rumbley and loves the food and music, I live on deal island and can see rumbley from here. Only boneheads classify others as such

Why does a bone head from Deal Island have any say in a Rumbley issue?

10:19, if the place is in Rumbley then it can't be on the Bay.
p.s. - You should study your charts before you go out in a boat.
11:42, a commercial boat does not need mufflers. So what is your point?
