GOVERNOR MARTIN O’MALLEY TO PROMOTE JOBS TAX CREDIT AT BALTIMORE COUNTY MANUFACTURE COMPANY

ANNAPOLIS, MD – Following today’s signing of the historic Job Creation and Recovery Tax Credit, Governor Martin O’Malley will promote the benefits of the legislation tomorrow, Friday, March 26 at Saft America Inc. in Cockeysville. The Governor will join Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith and Christian Johansson, Secretary of the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development, and Alexander M. Sanchez, Secretary of the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, for a press conference and tour of the company, which is the world’s largest manufacturer of lithium batteries for the space and defense industry. The company, which has about 170 employees, is currently expanding and plans to hire up to 40 employees in the next two years.
