Winter Snow Storm In Delmar, Delaware

Don't you just love a white blanket covering your home.

The pellet stove is cranking the house to 80 degrees, thanks to Farmer's & Planters just dropping off a skid of pellets this week.

Stay warm Folks, this isn't going away any time soon.

We all need to give the great state of marylands highway division a big round of applause for letting 9+ inches of snow build up on the major highways and snow emergency roads before they started plowing. I have seen 1 inch snowfalls get plowed off the roads quicker than this, come on now people. i Would hate to see how long it would take any emergency vehicles to get to an emergency call with that much snow on the roads. Ridiculous

Hey Joe, If you're not gonna use it this afternoon, can I come over and take a nap on your hammock? I hear there's no mosquitos this time of year.
Hey, thanks, man.

Joe , I want to see a pic of you in the hammock !!

There's never any mosquitos on this property. Too many fish in the ponds and too many frogs getting to them.

They say if you hear the sound of frogs at night you have very healthy land. It also means no mosquitos.

Its only in areas where you don't hear them you have problems. Makes you think, eh!

TDP, ask JT for one. He loves to drive by and stalk my home and take pictures. Maybe he's got one for you. LOL

Joe-

Where are the plows!? The roads are completely covered! Another great job by the locals....

Update from Ocean City, almost 12" and NO plows, budget cuts

In reply to the lack of plowing comments; Although the roads are bad, from a dollars and cents view, it would be cheaper to plow once or twice instead of all day!

10.5" on Melson Road! Delmar!

We just got home and there are plows all over the place. We saw about 4 of them sitting on the side of the bipass getting ready to make a pass all together. Thats how it should be done. You plow the entire thing at once. I talked to family across the bridge and their roads are not any better. Plows have done been down my inlaws road or my sisters development yet. Its coming down fast and they are trying to keep major roads open. They are fighting a losing battle I think. Drive safe plowers!
