Remember I Said There'd Be Two Big Announcements On Monday, Here's One Of Them

Who says there is no GANGS in Salisbury!

A federal jury convicted two Maryland gang leaders, one of whom produced the infamous "Stop Snitching" videos, of racketeering Thursday, after two days of deliberation. Sherman Pride, 35, of Salisbury and Ronnie Thomas, 36, of Baltimore face a maximum of 20 years in prison on the racketeering charge. Pride could get a life term for conspiracy to distribute cocaine. Prosecutors said the men were members of the Bloods' violent Tree Top Piru group, which sold drugs across the state. Pride led a TTP set on the Eastern Shore, and Thomas was a gang leader in Maryland, according to the U.S. attorney's office. Thomas produced two "Stop Snitching" videos, which encourage retaliation against anyone who cooperatates with police. Eight others connected to the videos have been convicted in federal court. Five other defendants charged with gang racketeering are expected to go on trial in March.

Its a problem alright!!! Also- let it be known that there are gangs in our judicial system as well!! Their colors are black robes and they disguise themselves as do-gooders masquerading for justice when all along they feed off the very people that pay them! IT'S Here and it's real too!!! Trash cans don't begin to cover it!!!! Their terms are too long and they have too much power! Gaqngs are here .....yes,but the higher level organized warfare is overlooked. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Talks in this LI'L Town. Been in court and on a Jury! This County makes me sick! Sad to be a resident.......

Good deal. Let this just be the start.

I'm happy that a couple gang members got convicted and I hope that they get the max sentence but I don't see where the local States Attorney and Judges should receive any credit for this.

Salisbury is at war with gangs. We need the authorities, whether federal, state, or local to help us NOW. Real sentences for real crimes and stop making Salisbury?Wicomico the dumping ground for this stuff. Job well done, let's keep it up.

Sherman Pride has been "doing life on the installment plan" since the early 90's. Hes been in and out of jail since I can remember( mostly in). Bout time we get him out of the legal loop for a few minutes. Keep up the good work!!!!

I can't believe that it has taken so long to get action like this, but better late than never. I have seen the toxic effect that the gang culture has on the students in our schools. Unless law enforcement remains serious about doing whatever they can to stop gang activity, the citizens of Salisbury and Wicomico county are going to be held back. The parents need to step up too and keep their kids away from gang members.I'm a little tired of parents foisting their problems on society at large. I don't mind giving temporary help when needed, but after they should give something back to better our community.

This is exciting and very promising news! I hope there is more good news to come on Monday! Great job to law enforcement! Keep it up!

The announcement has been changed to Wednesday.

Nothing I can do about it. It is what it is.

There's a ton of information they have to put together so we'll just have to wait.

The MSM knew nothing about it and has been squirming all day to get something. Too funny.
