I attended the public hearing on this in November. Those advocating for not cutting the West Side Community Center were right. Most of the money to run the center is from fundraising. It costs the county around $70,000 to $75,000 a year to help operate it. This is the only avenue for kids on the West Side(Tyaskin area, etc) to participate in activities. Pollitt knew this would be a factor to the citizens living in that area and they would scream to keep it. Please quit playing games with our children and do the job we elected you to do.

Are they meeting at the GOB or Northwestern. There was some discussion about the meeting being held at Northwestern Elementary School?

Joe,

I hope the council will consider working something out with the deputies before the Jan 12, 2010 hearing on the collective bargaining lawsuit. I think these men and women have shown they are worthy of a comprehesive insurance and retirement package. That is what all this started over.

Pres. Barkovich please consider a sit down to resolve this issue out of court. L.E.O.P.S. is long overdue and would probably circumvent any further action I believe.

It is time to do the right thing and put this matter to rest saving everyone involved a considerable amount of money.

Joe do you know who if any of the council helped look for Sarah. I would really like to know the answer on this matter. i do not recall seing one of them. This id very concerning also.

Happy New Year all.
