Racial Disparity DC Fire & Ems Department
There are some overdue concerns that DCFD operates as a racist organization. African-Americans firefighters within the DCFD are being terminated at an astounding alarming rate compared to Caucasian firefighters. In fact the disciplinary actions taken against firefighters of the DCFD are slated towards African-Americans. Today fewer African Americans are being hired to service as firefighters of the DCFD. They are being denied employment opportunities due to various unfair selective procedures. There are many who complain of the DCFD unbalanced promotional practices. Particularly where there has been members promoted base on a system of favoritism. Therefore we can say racism exist in the DCFD. If you have experienced an issue like these or know of similar cases please join us for in depth discussion on legal recourse which may be answer to end the racism within the DCFD.
