TROOPERS CHARGE 3 SUBJECTS WITH DRUG POSSESSION

On January 19, 2010 at 11:45 pm, A Trooper from the Salisbury Barrack of the Maryland State Police stopped a white Volkswagon at Market Street and Main Street in Willards Maryland for a traffic violation. The Trooper could detect the odor of marihuana coming from within the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed suspected marihuana and heroin inside of the vehicle along with drug paraphernalia. The occupants of the vehicle, Casey Lee Fyffe, 21, of Ocean City, Heather Lee Bowden, 27, of Salisbury, and Kenneth Mearle Larkin, 29, of Baltimore were all arrested and charged with possession of marihuana, possession of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia. All 3 subjects were transported to the Wicomico County Detention Center for a hearing with a commissioner.

While being transported to WCDC, one suspect, Heather Lee Bowden, 27, of Salisbury, became ill in a patrol vehicle and requested to be transported to the hospital. EMS personnel responded to the patrol vehicle on Rt. 50 in the Willards area and transported Bowden, who was pregnant, to PRMC. During an examination at PRMC, hospital personnel located several syringes and suspected baggies of cocaine concealed within her body. Troopers immediately took possession of the items and are awaiting her release from PRMC to transport her to WCDC. She will be charged with additional counts of possession of paraphernalia and possession of cocaine.

Looks like her baby is already doomed. If he/she is born with drugs in his/her system, this fine mother should be charged. Better yet, the State should hold her until the baby is born so she cannot subject it to drugs.

I hope she will also be charged with endangering a child, since she's pregnant. Those three grownups made their choices. That fetus, or depending on how far along, baby HAD no choice.
Throw her in the slammer until the babys born then give it to people who know right from wrong to raise.

That is just wrong on so many levels.. Here this piece of crap woman is pregnant shooting up drugs harming her unborn child while there are so many woman out there that pray to get pregnant and can't! Makes me sick to my stomach. I really hope they keep her locked up until this child is born and place the child with a family that will take good care of it.

As the mother of this woman It sickens me as well, but I can tell you it is not as easy as you may think to protect this unborn child. She has already lost custody of 4 children due to drugs and it was a battle for the family the entire way. We are blessed to have family members that have taken these children to raise as their own. The children are doing well now but 3 of the four displayed some drug addiction problems. The last pregnancy was twins, mom was in University hospital where she insisted on being discharged, did some drugs and went into premature labor. Twins were born 3 months early spent a lot of time in Hopkins nicu and were eventually released to the mother(who the hospital was aware was a drug addict). The family kept close watch on the children and they were finally removed when the mother was charged with reckless endangerment and I filed an emergency ex-parte on behalf of the children. The charges were later dropped on the mom. Both parents were arrested and are drug addicts. I would like to see my daughter put in a long term mental facility where she could be treated properly. No sane parent would put their children through the things hers has had to suffer through. Her problems are deeper than drugs. She will have this drug addicted baby and keep it for about 9 months until WE can prove the child is not safe! They are concerned with the mothers right to privacy! The system needs to be evaluated and revamped to protect the real victims.THE UNBORN AND BORN CHILDREN.

putting her into a long term treatment program won't due any good until she wants help. She has to want it for the program to be any good. Most drug addicts don't think they need help.

10:05 What a strong woman you are.

Most drug addicts are not running to the drug they are running from themselves, the drugs simply provide a vehicle to escape whatever they dont like that reflects back to them from there Mirror of Life. Once on some drugs the need for it takes over and they are lost. If you dont deal with your Mirror you will die lost. What the heck are we going to do when the era of Loving Responsible grand-parents are gone, who will step up and pull the load then?

I have information that the mother is being held on $5000 bond. This translates into coming up with $500 and she will be free to go do more drugs and harm this unborn child. What is the judge thinking. Review her history and you will see she also has a deliquent fine from another arrest. Will she be released without paying this as well so we will have to pay law enforcement to arrest her for this failure to meet her obligation at a later date? Where does it all end. When will the system stop working for the criminals and start working for the victims. Perhaps Mr. Larkins history should have been considered prior to his bond review. He had a case put on stet docket as recently as 1/12/10. I don't get it.

Mam, you dont have to hide from me, you can talk to me real as rain. I can feel your heart and trust me everyone makes mistakes, but your not at fault here. I dont know the details of your history with your daughter but at a certain point in time and age people have to become responsible for their own actions. If I could HUMBLY gives some advise, stick with your kid as long as you can, but dont forget the grand babies never had a choice. Your inner strength will allow them that choice, you smile about that stuff, not cry. Keep the perspective Mam.
