The new West Side Collector Road is now open to traffic. The light is now fully functional and the road to the Dump is complete. Just watch out for the Deer!

Joe you better check that I don't think the collector rd. is open. I hear it may be several more months before the collector rd. is open

Can anyone please explain the use of this road? I am unfamiliar and am just looking for a simple or useful description of its purpose.

This road is a waste. It goes to the same spot that Owens Branch Rd takes you. It may save about 1 min and one stop sign for your commute.

When fully complete, this road will take you to Nanticoke rd. This is the first of several phases. The question is, why isn't it open yet? Anyone know?

They have to install some additional guard rails before it can be opened. I would shoot for sometime in January for the "Grand Opening"... When it is complete it will take you to Crooked Oak Lane.

I certainly dont think this road will be adding to traffic on Nanticoke rd, it will just give people an alternate way to get to points down nanticoke rd than just starting at the Rt. 50 and Nanticoke intersection. Should end up relieving some conjestion and will be better for people heading to points north and west. Lets think before we write about things we don't know about.
