Here is a decision for you Alan. I challenge you to do two things aa a barometer of crime in Salisbury. I challenge you to walk the streets from the Thrift Travel Inn and all around the Church St. area. Put @100 in your wallet and walk around for two hours. The second challenge is to work in any convience store through the holiday season for an evening.No badge and no gun. Just Alan the citizen with no protection. Are you up to the task ?
I'm betting that if you make it to the corner of Baker and Charles your done. The $200 is gone and you'll have at least one gunshot wound. Odds are that if you work at the store your going to get robbed and quite likely shot. This is reality Alan and you'll get a first hand look at our city. Lets see if your up to a challenge.
No one cares for your ineptitude a$$hole which is why officers choose to leave that department. For the sake of the city and SPD, where no one respects you except those who kiss your ass to get promoted, do everyone a favor and leave NOW. Then you will have more time to tend to that "personal" business while business owners get shot. I understand the Christmas shopping trip with your wife went well.

Chief Webster came on board after I left Salisbury so I do not know him. Basically all I know is what I read on here and in the DT but after watching these 2 bytes I have to believe that there is a bit of arrogance to the man. However giving the devil his due, he has really been "roasted" lately and maybe with just cause. As a former ranking leo, I can not imagine myself not being right in the middle of the crime spree that Salisbury is experiencing. Would also bet Chief Dykes would be sleeping right in the office, not deer hunting. But one can thank Ms Barrie for his absence. Ireton needs to change the leadership of SPD and try to rebuild the morale of the department. The city needs more and better paid manpower than what exists. I would love to see more comments from officers that are presently with the department as to their thoughts re: the Chief etc. Of course they could remain Anonymous and we would certainly understand. jackkcharl@aol.com

Doesn't sound like many people care who makes the decision to take a new direction on fighting crime. Having a time in grade of 10 years says nothing about the effectiveness of 10 years. If crime grew, it's not under control. If one thinks another 10 years of the same effectiveness is good enough, they are saying that the current crime rate and its continuing increase is acceptable.
Maybe gift cards will work in Salisbury. Not much else seems to.

Truth is Salisbury CANNOT fire Webster,because there is no one there with the balls to do so! This is one of the most arrogant a##holes I have ever seen first to not accept the help from a superb agency like the Wicomico Sheriffs office is down right foolish. Problem is next one that gets shot or killed may not just be a lowly citizen it might just be an officer. Stop this jerk now before its too late.
