There are two basic reasons that crime is so bad in Wicomico. The Dept of Juvenile Service is first. There is absolutely no justice there. They even took the word "Justice" out of there title because they did not want to seem too harsh on those poor kids. The kid who robs you, is a victim in their eyes. He does not need to be punished. He should be let go to his parent, and a letter will be placed in his file. Wow, what a deterrent! It is OK to punish bad kids.
The other reason sits in District Court every day. Police are put on trial there every day, and criminals are set free. You ever wonder why so many cases are dropped in the paper each week? The cops, states attorney, and defense attorneys know this well. There is no justice in that room, unless the judge is in a bad mood. Judges need term limits now.

This is a great response to an old post.
I would wager that all of these thugs have been arrested numerous times; as a juvenile and as an adult. The police are doing there jobs, the courts are not.
These criminals have learned through their past experiences that they will not be punished for doing crimes.

Maybe they will kill each other off and we won't have to worry about hiring more patrol persons.

Jantizzy they are not doing that. Most of the time is the hard working people that suffer. Bums dont get robbed because they have no money. With all the out of work people in the construction field start building prisons. Make them raise their own food. No more tv, exercise equipment or such. Give them a shovel and a hoe and set them to work. You dont work you dont eat. Make prison a BAD place to go not just a place to sit on your behind.

IF YOU LIVE IN THE GREATER SALISBURY AREA AND DON'T HAVE AN ALARM SYSTEM, AT LEAST, THEN YOU'RE STUPID.
Sorry for the caps, Joe. This is me screaming.

7:34 it was not a robbery of a good person and it was sarcasm, and you will discover when the facts come out 9 times out of 10 they are killing each other.

7:15, just stop and think, do nothing else. They are to numerous for that. To save the world, I think you have to take time into perspective. What you do is Save and Teach the babies, the grand-kid, Jimmy 2x thats how you save the world. We are to old already for us to do it, the future isnt born yet. So I think the possibilities are endless.

What do you think Shanie? Still believe in YOUR police chief? If so, then you can have him, the rest of us want him replaced with a competent individual.

Yes, it is a shame that innocent people get caught in the crossfire. Other than that, let them just go and kill each other and get it over with.

More crime. Its old news and regardless of what agenda the city council has now I see little to nothing being done. They spent all the taxpayers money on Fire toys and the water treatment plant.

The funniest stuff I see during my workday are my coworkers denying that the reporting on this site is true. I guess they think that all the armed robberies and stabbings are "made up". Ppl here need to WAKE UP to the reality that is the shore. Crime, poverty, gangs and drugs. If you cant see it then you are blind.

The lawyers promote crime , if not they would be out of work. I have 3lawyers as neighbors , you would be surprised what goes on. I say get rid of the lawyers , judges
and professors. Lock and Load
the time is short.(comegy, Shields and Smith also)

Denial is ONE way to deal with the crime in SBY. Apparently that's the route that Smith, Comegys and Shanie have chosen to take. Good luck with that one.
I'm thinking the odds are eventually that one of THEIR family members will be a victim and they'll then believe it and take action to get us safe again.

It seems obvious that the crime rate has gone up in areas where the substations were closed--nothing deters crime like a 24 hour police presence. Re-open them, add nw locales, fire the "chief" raise the pay and hire more officers!!!

Good job to the Salisbury Officers that locked up that attempted murder subject!
