THis is a great tool. However I see you and most of our contributors moaning aobut every penny that is being spent in your fair city. I doubt they would moan any less when they get the bill for this technology.

jefferson, really, sometimes you can be a real flaming a-hole.

You canont put a price tag on life/lives. The problem with people like you is, you're afraid to spend money on "public safety".

Yes, I'll complain about a $14,000,000.00 Fire Station and perhaps the spending millions of dollars on new Fire Trucks that just aren't necessary. However, when it comes to crime, Webster is a pussy and doesn't have the stones to DEMAND more money each year to provide more public safety.

I think you're completely wrong jefferson.

Mr. Jefferson I think Joe just took you to the cleaners.

I respect Mr Alberos opinion and I, personally, would be in favor of my community purchasing such equipment. All I am saying is many of your contributors balk at any public spending. If Joe disagrees with that he does not read his own blog.

PS Joe, sometimes you can be a real flaming A hole also

Joe, Your right you can't put a price tag on life safety so why do you continue to do it daliy? What credentials do you have to say that fire engines are not needed. Why was a new fire station not needed? The old HQ building had been the fire station since before I was born and was for the nearly 20 years I lived there and continued to be long after I moved away. The floors in the basement where held up with jacks for god sake. There was very limited space and the facility was just not a friendly working environment. The new station I am sure was bulit for the future not just for today. The City wanted a building it could be proud of, one that looked nice not just a metal prefab pole building that I am sure you thought would be more appropriate. That station will be in use for many more years then you are alive Joe and I am sure the city will get it's $14,000,000.00 back out of it just as they did the old building.

Technolgy as well as retention of qualified police officers takes money and support from local citizens and government. This city provides neither to it's police department.
