City Employee Involved in Hit & Bribe?
As reported to Joe, allegedly Rusty Taylor, an employee of the City of Salisbury, while driving a city owned vehicle struck someone. After hitting the victim, Taylor allegedly offered the victim $20 to not report the accident. Allegedly, the victim went to SPD and filed a report.

Mr. Taylor is a good man. If he made a mistake, so be it. To all of you who want to cast stones,that's your right of opinoin. I just don't like to see a good man publically crucified on a so-called news site.

If you think Mr. Taylor is such a good man then you shouldn't be ashamed to sign your name. Otherwise we will all know it's you Rusty.
This is the guy that works at the code compliance office and tries to give everyone fines for having grass in their sidewalks instead of going after the real problem houses. Tom Stevenson have you fired him yet or do we have to call the Mayor's office?

"Hey Mr City employee if you hit someone just bribe them with 20 bucks and call it a day".
From what I heard is that the person on the bike was intoxicated and hit the vehicle, then begged Mr.taylor not to call the cops. So being the decent person he is, Mr.Taylor gave the guy a few dollars for repairs to his bike, then the guy go's home and sobbers up for a couple of hours and then decides that his back hurts. Another example of someone trying to get something for nothing and i'm sure try to get money(settlement) out of the city that the tax payers will have to shell out.Yes, He was wrong for not reporting it when it happened, propobly a little upset or scared.
But if both parties agreed that no injury was done at the sceen, then I dont see it as an issue. Don't hate on Mr.Taylor because of his job 9:25. As an inspector you dont have many fans, keep your property in compliance and he will not stop.
The city could use more people like him, for there is a lot of dead wood employed in the city.

ROTFLMAO, nice try Rusty!!! Sounds like damage control to me. You have been employed by the city how many years? An employee of the city for over 20 years and you don't know city policy yet? Don't you know that when you are involved in an incident city vehicle that you report it immediately? Now what was the timeline? Is it possible that you were in a location you weren't supposed to be? Is it possible that you did something wrong and didn't want to get caught? Did you take the pi$$ test? Did you pass? If the guy begged Rusty not to call cops then why did he go to Mr. Taylor's office 3 hours later and call the cops? Fire the a$$hole!
I just checked the maryland case search and mr. taylor has given out a lot of fines by harassing people. What I also found was that all the cases that went to court were dismissed and he lost. What this does tell me is that this guy is not a credible code enforcement officer or the city is wasting a lot of money on code compliance. The fines that people are contesting costs the city thousands of dollars in the court system including what the city attorney is costing to go to court for this.
The only comment I can comment on 8:43 is there sure is alot of dead wood employees in the city!!!! starting with some of the Department Heads, they take home a fat a-- pay check for doing nothing..... should I start dropping names or do you know who I'm talking about?

Rusty is a GREAT man that would do anything for anyone in this community!! You can't work for the city for 20 years and not do your job!! Just maybe he does his job and thats why he is so well known and dis liked!!!! Reality is ...this is just another crack head on church street looking for a pay check and its gonna be our tax dollars that pay it !!! If it wasn't Rusty it would of been some other city worker!!!
